Monkey Butter peanut butter is all-natural. This means that it has no artificial preservatives and no added hydrogenated oil. Like in other natural peanut butters, the peanut’s oil might separate. If this happens all you have to do is stir it back in! Once you open your jar of Monkey Butter, it is best to keep in the fridge.
All MB peanut butters are suitable for vegetarians. Dark chocolate cherry MB, dark chocolate banana MB and maple bacon MB have no dairy, no eggs and no meat ingredients.
Monkey Butter is suitable for low sodium diets. Our peanuts are unsalted. We only add sea salt to Salted Caramel MB and Honey MB.
With the exception of White Chocolate Pretzel MB, all our peanut butters are gluten free.
The sweetness comes from the chocolate and dried fruits that are added to the peanut butter. No sugar is added. All dried fruits are unsweetened.
Monkey Butter is made in small batches here in Vancouver, BC. We use quality ingredients such as dried organic unsweetened BC cherries and dried organic unsweetened bananas.
Peanut butter is high in dietary fiber, which helps in regulating both cholesterol and blood sugar levels. It is also very high in protein, Vitamin E, Vitamin B3, iron, magnesium, potassium, copper and calcium. Peanut butter is also a significant source of the nutrient Resveratrol which is a natural antimicrobial agent that wards off potential pathogens (bacteria, viruses and fungi).
